Draft Horse Clipping Punch

The Jim Blurton draft horse clipping punch (Bob) is designed to set clips in large draft shoes. The head of the tool is positioned under the centre to maximise the power of the hammer blow. This larger bodied punch also allows better dissipation of heat when working on very large shoes. The height of the clipping punch gives good visibility to the blade which is made from S1 tool steel. The handle is 18” long to keep the users hand away from the hot steel and is made from high quality hickory and grooved for grip.
Available as part of the Jim Blurton Professional Farrier Tool range, the draft horse clipping punch was developed and tested at Jim’s forge in Mid Wales. It has been tested by some of the world’s leading farriers and equine experts, and is now available worldwide online.
