The 5/8 (16mm) square bit tongs have been designed by Jim Blurton to steadily hold square pieces of 16mm steel whilst forging and shaping, hot or cold. The tongs are forged from 1 piece of hardened stainless steel. This ensures the tongs are easily maintained even with the rigours of everyday use.
Available as part of the Jim Blurton Professional Farrier Tool range, the square bit tongs was developed and tested at Jim’s forge in Mid Wales. It has been tested by some of the world’s leading farriers and equine experts, and is now available worldwide online.
